One day in Algeria some travelers on camels were crossing a part of the Sahara Desert. They heard crying so the travelers stopped their journey to look to see where the crying was coming from. A few minutes later they came across a little girl who was crying. The first traveler Alexa asks the little girl “why are you crying little girl?” The little girl says “I lost my mom in a sand storm and don’t know where she is.” The second traveler Sam says to Alexa “We don’t have time for this and we need to find the treasure we set out to look for.” “Well we need to help this little girl find her mom.” said Alexa. “Well I am leaving. I have no time to help this little girl.I will find the treasure that WE set out to look for by myself”  Sam. Sam got on his camel and left Alexa and the little girl to go find the treasure. “Thank you for staying here to help me find my mom.” said the little girl. “No problem.”  said Alexa. Alexa helped the little girl onto her camel then got onto the camel and started out on their journey to find the little girl’s mom. Two hours later they came across a house so they stopped to look to see if any one was inside. “Is anyone home.” Alexa said knocking on the door. The door opens and the little girl said “Mommy!” “Lizzy is that you?” said Lizzys mom. ‘Yes it is mom.” said Lizzy. Then she ran up to hug her mom. “Thank you for bringing my daughter home.” said Lizzys mom. “ You shall be rewarded and as for Sam, your travel partner, he shall receive a punishment  for his selfishness. He will never find the treasure, but you will.” Said Lizzys Mom. 

Even though some people may disagree, I think that the best thing to pair with peanut butter is jelly and bread to make a PB and J sandwich. I first tried this combination when I was in preschool at lunch time. Another combination is peanut and bananas. What do you think the best thing to pair with peanut butter is?

Even though the baby looks mad she’s probably just confused. Santa is looking at the baby and he looks confused. The baby is sitting on what looks like Santa’s chair. The baby’s face is red and she has her hands on the side of her face. What do you thing the baby and Santa are feeling?

Even though I have never seen or been to a Maya temple before I would still like to visit one. This photo of a Maya temple taken in Palenque, Chiapas, Mexico. The Maya didn’t have any machines to do all of the building. If I was there I would feel excited to get to learn more about the Maya’s way of life. Have you ever seen a Maya temple in person before?

 

My favorite thing about Thanksgiving is helping my mom cook because I like to cook. Also I like being helpful and I like all of the good smells. What is your favorite part about Thanksgiving? 

The Missing Lucy

          Leah, Lucy, Ella, and Maddy are at a gymnastics competition. They are watching  the other contestants do their routine. 

“Next up is Lucy Clare Cambule,” said the announcer. All of her friends and family are cheering for her. So far Lucy is doing great but when she is doing her arial in mid air she just disappears. Everyone is worried. EspeciallyLeah because her sister just disappeared. “What in the world just happened,” asked Ella. 

“I have no clue,” said Maddy. Leah was in tears. She was very worried for her sister. “I wonder if Lucy is ok,” Leah said to herself. 

“Let’s go look for Lucy guys,” said Ella.

“Good idea Ella,” said Maddy

“I agree with you Ella. Let’s get going. Ella you go right, Maddy you go left, I will look around the stands,” said Leah. The girls looked all around but they could not find Lucy. So they went to Lucy and Leah’s house to tell Leah’s mom what happened. “Hay mom so Lucy was doing her routine then she just disappeared,” said Leah.  

“We looked all over for Lucy  Mrs. Cambule,” said Ella. 

“Well thank you for looking for her. I heard something coming from the basement. Feel free to look for Lucy down there,” said Mrs. Cambule. 

“Thanks mom for the help we will try to find Lucy,” said Leah. 

“HELP,” said the voice coming from the basement. 

“That was the thing I heard coming from the basement,” said Mrs. Cambule. 

“We will go look,” said Maddy. So the girls went down to the basement to look for Lucy. In the middle of the room they see Lucy tied up to a chair. Once they go over to try untie Lucy she disappears again. 

“Ok is someone messing with us or what,” asked Maddy.  

“Ya I think that someone is definitely messing with us,” said Ella.

“I agree,” said Leah. 

“ So what do we do know,” said Maddy. 

“I don’t know,” said Leah. 

“Well we’re still going to have to find her,” said Leah.

“Yes you are  right Leah,” said Maddy.

“Well where do we look though?” said Leah.

“I have an idea of where to look.” They walked back up stairs to Leah’s mom’s . “Can you drive us to the gymnastics facility please?” said Ella.

“Sure,” said Mrs. Cambule. Twenty minutes later they arrived. “We are here,” said Mrs. Cambule. 

“Thank you,” said the girls. 

“Ok so let’s look around the facility for her,” said Ella. 

Five minutes later Maddy said “I found her”.

“Really!” said Leah. 

“Yes,” said Maddy. 

“Ella over here,” said Leah.  

 

“Coming,” said Ella. 

 

“Lucy, Maddy, Ella, and I are here to help you.” “Just don’t disappear on us again,” said Leah. They go over to go untie Lucy and this time she does not disappear.  

 

“Thank you for untying me. The ropes were starting to hurt really bad,” said Lucy.  

 

“No problem Lucy,” said Ella.  

 

“So do you know why you disappeared,” said Maddy. 

 

“I do not know,” said Lucy. 

 

“Ok. I was just wondering,” said Maddy. So Lucy, Leah, Ella, and Maddy go back to Leah and Lucy’s house to tell Mrs. Cambule that they found Lucy. 

 

“Hi mom we found Lucy,” said Leah. 

 

“I am back, did you miss me?,” said Lucy 

 

“Of course I missed you and I am so glad you’re back. Thank you Maddy, Ella, and Leah for finding Lucy,” said Mrs. Cambule. 

 

“No problem Mrs. Cambule,” said Ella and Maddy. 

 

“Yes. No problem at all mom,” said Leah. 

 

Now that Lucy is back the girls are happy and sad too. They are sad because their adventure is over but they’re happy that Lucy is back. Maybe they will go on another adventure. Who knows?
